About the Provider
My name is Lois and I am the owner of Happy Day Child Care. Happy Day Child Care became licensed in January 2013 and serves the North Hoffman community and surrounding towns. One thing that I pride our child care in is the community we have built. Our families that we serve are not only clients but a second family to us and that is something special you may not see at other child cares (in home or center based). I have three children (and three fur children) and we are all one big family. I know that sounds cliche, but truly that's the environment I am setting for our child care and every child we serve.
A little bit about my credentials: I received a B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics with Cum Laude honor from Northern Illinois University in 2010. I received my M.Ed in Early Childhood Administration from National Louis University in 2018. I am also a certified yoga instructor for children with Kidding Around Yoga.
I am very passionate about being a child care provider. I believe that early childhood educators are the first impressions for young children and create the foundation for years in a more formal educational setting. Through play and imagination, we can teach our children essential tools to help them through their lives such as sharing, gross and fine motor skills, how to be kind to one another, and how to be a citizen in our community.

My name is Megan and I love working with children. Every day is a new day with the children and watching them grow, and it makes me so happy to be around them. I have worked for Happy Day Child Care since May 2016 and wouldn't change it for the world. It has been an amazing experience to watch children learn to crawl, walk, learn their phonics, and work on their independence.
I have always worked with children and appreciate the in home child care setting as it creates a home-like feel. These children become best friends, parents become friends with one another, and we are all one big community. The children truly get the best of both worlds (being in a child care but receiving individualized care).
